Welcoming In Workshop Comes to Atlanta this Summer

Speaking of our latest offerings, we have been eager to share this one with you.

This summer, we are offering our first class on menstruation for the youngest womb keepers in our community. Geared toward girls ages 9-15, “Welcoming In” is a workshop where we aim to soften the first period conversation and create a beautiful first period experience for young girls + the people who love them.

This section is available in audio for on-the-go-girlies.

Let's face it—for many of us the experiences and conversations we had around our first menses was not warm, welcoming, or special.

And yet this powerful milestone remains indelible in our memories.

Moreover, the conversations we take part in and overhear at this impressionable age set the stage for the behavior patterns that undeniably affect our health (and wealth!) to this day.

  • Our mother's words after we told her we got our period may have stung—so we felt shame.

  • Our aunts + grandmas may have started to fear the worst, so we felt afraid of our sexuality.

  • We might subscribe deeply to any number of ideas that imply our normal female biology is a weakness holding us back in this “man’s world” and therefore we treat on periods like a painful, needless interruption.

And so the sex we have is unpleasurable or shameful. We bury our used pads + tampons under piles of toilet paper (as if half the world doesn’t bleed, and all the world isn't here because someone in fact bled). We are constantly manifesting, but never fulfilled or feeling successful.

Our insecurities about being born female can rule our lives, make us play small, and unfortunately spill over onto our daughters.

And yet we know we don't want these struggles for our daughters. Perhaps we've reined them in or overcome them ourselves, still we struggle to see how to set our daughters up to never have to overcome in the first place.

Mama - you are not alone.

Our goal with this offering is to show one another and our daughters that we are all in this together. People who bleed monthly (or have) outnumber people who don't (and will never). There’s power in our gathering together as women, as girls, as generations of womb keepers.

Come sit with us. Gather with women your own age + stage, and let's have a loving empowering conversation that is age + stage appropriate for our daughters.

Our hope is that in the end, all who participate feel Divine, empowered and capable of taking the reins of her health, wealth, and ultimately, her womanhood.

You deserve support. And our daughters deserve a foundation built on love.

A Lil’ History—We've been at this five years, yall.

Mostly offering online courses + resources for adult women to learn, manage, and embrace natural fertility rhythms as both a way to tune into personal health and to nurture a deeper spirituality.

In that time, we've held a vision for how doing this work as women might impact our daughters, nieces, and little sisters.

We are so thrilled to bring the fruit of that vision to our Atlanta community.

In our next couple of emails, will explain who we are and what we do for women of all ages + stages.

We hope you'll stick around.

Here's to a beautiful summer + a fruitful second half of the year.
